    Roser Alba Rovira
    Start her academic journey by completing her Bachelor's degree in Biology and her Master's in Biomedicine at the University of Barcelona. During this time, she initiated her research path, focusing on the discovery of autoantibodies in autoimmune diseases.

    Her academic achievements culminated in an international PhD in Translational Medicine, awarded with distinction (cum laude) focused on inflammatory pathways in the giant cell arteritis pathophisiology.

    Presently, Roser serves as a postdoctoral researcher within the systemic vasculitis research group at IDIBAPS, led by Dr. Cid, where her research is centered on unraveling the pathophysiology of vasculitis.
    Maria C Cid

    Maria C Cid is Senior Consultant at Hospital Clinic Barcelona; Professor at the University of Barcelona; Senior Group Leader at the Research Institute IDIBAPS. She leads a Vasculitis clinical and translational research group investigating mechanisms involved in vascular inflammation and remodeling to identify clinically meaningful biomarkers and therapeutic targets. The research team has contributed to improve patient diagnosis and care by contributing to delimitate the role of histopathology and imaging.

    The group has developed original functional models to investigate mechanisms involved in vasculitis and has participated in the design and development of pivotal clinical trials that have revolutionized the therapeutic landscape of vasculitis. She is author or co-author of over 250 publications in the field. In 2022, she was honored as Master of the American College of Rheumatology and in 2023 received the Roger Demers award from the Quebec Society of Rheumatology.

    Georgina Espígol Frigolé

    Georgina Espígol Frigolé is Senior Specialist at Hospital Clinic Barcelona, Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona and R3A Researcher at the FCRB-IDIBAPS. Her care and research work have been always focused in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, especially vasculitis.

    She is part of the Vasculitis clinical and translational research group leaded by Dr. Cid since 2006. After more than two years at the Laboratory of Cellular Oncology at the National Institutes of Health (Bethesda), she obtained her PhD from the University of Barcelona focused on the role of IL-23/IL17 axis in vascular inflammation and Giant Cell arteritis. She is author or co-author of over 60 publications in the field (h-index 30). She has obtained, as a principal investigator, competitive financing from public and private organizations for projects aimed to improve the accuracy in the diagnosis of some vasculitis and to investigate biomarkers and therapeutic targets. She is also principal investigator in several innovative clinical trials and currently directing two doctoral thesis projects.

    Ebymar Arismendi

    Ebymar Arismendi is a medical doctor with dual specialization in Internal Medicine and Pneumology. She has attained an official Master's Degree in Respiratory Medicine and earned her PhD in Medicine from the University of Barcelona in 2015. Currently, she holds the role of Coordinator of the Severe Asthma Unit within the Pulmonology Department and also is in charge of the Pulmonary Function Lab at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.

    Since November 2019, Dr. Arismendi is co-coordinator of the Asthma group at the Catalan Society of Pneumology (SOCAP). She is also an associated researcher in the Asthma group of the CIBER of Respiratory Diseases (CIBERES). She is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and of the Master of Advanced Medical Skills program at the University of Barcelona. Dr. Arismendi is an author of more than 50 original publications, primarily focused on severe asthma and respiratory physiology.

    Francisco Lozano

    Dr. Lozano is Senior Consultant at the Immunology Department of Hospital Clínic of Barcelona (HCB), Full Professor of Immunology at the University of Barcelona (UB) and director of the research group "Immunoreceptors of the Innate and Adaptive system" at Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) in Barcelona.

    He graduated in Medicine (1982) at UB and specialized in Immunology at HCB (1984-1988). After obtaining his Ph.D. in Medicine (UB, 1990), he completed a post-doctoral stay (1991-1993) at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology-MRC (Cambridge, UK) under the supervision of Prof. César Milstein working on transgenic models of somatic hypermutation and transcriptional control of immunoglobulin genes. Afterward, he was enrolled as a staff member of the Immunology Department of HCB (1994), where he set up his research group focused on the pathophysiology of receptors involved in regulation of innate and adaptive immune responses against tumor, infectious or autoimmune insults.

    Iara da Silva

    She is consultant nephrology, lead for the Glomerulonephritis, Vasculitis at Germans Trias University Hospital, in Badalona (Spain).

    She is member of the Spanish working group for the Study of the Glomerular Diseases (GLOSEN).

    In particular, she carries out a nephro-rheumatology multidisciplinary clinic.

    Besides, she is carrying out a Pregnancy and CKD clinic outpatient.

    From basic research point of view, her studies focused on the analysis of the role of inflammatory and fibrotic markers in the development of renal function.

    Iñigo Rúa Figueroa

    Iñigo Rúa-Figueroa is Rheumatologist , working as a consultant rheumatologist in the Rheumatology Service of the Hospital Universitario Doctor Negrín, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), with preferential dedication to systemic rheumatic diseases.

    He leads the clinical and immunogenetic research line in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) of the Service.

    He is author or co-author of more than 119 articles in indexed journals, 78 of them dedicated to SLE. He is a promoter member of the Systemic Diseases Working Group of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology (SER)(EAS-SER).

    He is co-principal investigator of the SER Lupus registry (RELESSER), a Nationwide SLE register.

    He has also been co-director of the Manual SER of Systemic Rheumatic Diseases, clinical co-coordinator of the Clinical Practice Guideline on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus of the "guiasalud" program (Spanish Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs) and professor of the Master SER of Immune-mediated Rheumatic Diseases.

    Irene Agraz Pamplona

    Specialist in nephrology with a clinical profile and extensive experience in immunologically based diseases such as primary glomerulonephritis, being the reference for adults of the Spanish Reference Center for Complex Glomerular Diseases (CSUR) of adults and children of the H.

    Valle de Hebron in Barcelona. Likewise, a reference for the XUECS (groups of experts in Catalonia) for minority kidney diseases and a member of the European nephrology networks, REDIN-REN and ERK-NET.

    I have completed my doctoral thesis on vasculitis with kidney involvement and I have publications in relation to these pathologies. I am currently directing two doctoral thesis, on the Pharmacokinetics of RITUXIMAB in glomerular diseases and in Lupus with renal involvement.

    I also have extensive experience in the management of treatment with immunosuppressants because it is an indication for treatment in glomerular pathologies but also because of the experience I have in kidney transplantation for which I have a Master's degree in this subject. I am currently the PI of 8 industry clinical trials, all aimed at glomerular diseases.

    Isam Alobid

    Isam Alobid, Rhinologist and Head of the Skull Base Unit of the ENT department of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Professor at the Medical School of the University of Barcelona.

    President of the Rhinology, Allergy and Anterior Skull Base commission of the Spanish Society of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.

    He has published 255 scientific articles in pubmed and H index of 44. He is an editor of 9 books and has participated in 55 book chapters. He has organized 110 courses / workshops and has presented 155 papers at national and international conferences.

    Jacobo Sellares

    Dr. Jacobo Sellarés Torres is a recognized researcher in chronic respiratory diseases, and especially in diffuse interstitial lung diseases, he´s coordinator of the EPID Multidisciplinary Program at Hospital Clínic, Barcelona.

    The unit has been recognized by the Spanish Society of Pneumology in 2018 as a High Complexity Unit with a degree of excellence for its care, teaching and research work, Specialized Consultation in EPID by Orphanet and recognized at a European level by the European Reference Network (ERN) in ILD-CORE as a European reference EPID unit in 2018, they`ve been recognized by the International Sarcoidosis Society (WASOG) as Clinical Sarcoidosis.

    He belongs to the "Inflammation and repair of respiratory diseases" team of Area 2 of IDIBAPS, coordinated by Dr. Alvar Agustí and who is specialized in the methodology of systems biology and respiratory diseases Chronicles. He is also a research member of the Barcelona Research Network (BRN) and the CIBERES.

    Javier Narváez

    Coordinator of the Study Group on Synovial Inflammation and Bone Metabolism (GEISMO) at the Biomedical Research Institute of Bellvitge (IDIBELL).

    He is currently a specialist at the Department of Systemic Autoimmune Disase at the Hosptial Clinic and an assitent profesor at the University of Barcelona. His research has focused mainly on antiphospholipid syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. He has publisehd various articles in national and international journals and chapters in several books. He has accumulated a total of 1777 citations and an H-index of 22.

    Jordi Anton

    Head of the Pediatric Rheumatology Department of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. Doctor in Medicine from the University of Barcelona, of which he is an Associate professor.

    Since 2013 he has been the director of the master's degree in Pediatric Rheumatology at the same university. Director of the Study group of diseases due to immune dysfunction in Pediatrics (GEMDIP) framed within the line on Infectious Diseases and Systemic Immune Response of the Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute (IRSJD).

    Dr Jordi Antón has participated as a researcher in 34 R + D + i projects financed in competitive calls of Administrations or public and private entities, and in 44 R & D contracts, agreements or projects that are not competitive with public or private administrations or entities. He has directed doctoral thesis in Kawasaki disease and autoinflammatory diseases.

    José Gómez Puerta

    Dr. Jose A. Gómez-Puerta is a specialist in Internal Medicine from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellín, Colombia, and a Rheumatologist at the Hospital Clinic of the University of Barcelona, Spain. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Biopathology by the University of Barcelona in 2008.

    He received further training in the Rheumatology Unit of Guy’s Hospital, London, UK, and the Lupus Unit, St. Thomas’ Hospital, London, UK, in 1997 and 2001, respectively.

    He also finished the Master in Autoimmune Diseases at Universidad de Barcelona and moved for an appointment as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA from 2011 to 2014.

    In 2014, Dr Gómez-Puerta obtained his degree in Master of Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health, Boston.USA.

    His work has focused on the study of Autoimmune and immune mediated diseases and he has published more than 140 original papers, brief notes or reviews in peer-reviewed journals. He is member of Executive committee of SLEuro.

    He is a member of the Catalan, Spanish, Colombian and honorary member of Argentinian and Chilean societies of Rheumatology and member of the American College of Rheumatology.

    Currently, Dr Gómez-Puerta is the Head of Department of Rheumatology At Hospital Clinic, Barcelona and associate professor of Rheumatology at University of Barcelona, Spain

    Juan Ignacio Arostegui

    MD, Universidad de Navarra. Specialist in Immunology, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Barcelona. PhD, Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona. Since 2002, staff member of the Department of Immunology, Hospital Clínic. Current position: Head of the Clinical Immunology section and responsible of the Unit of Autoinflammatory Diseases.

    Research interests: Molecular and genetic basis of inborn errors of immunity, with a special interest in monogenic autoinflammatory diseases and in the role of gene mosaicism as a disease-causing mechanism. PI of different national research projects, co-author of around 150 peer-reviewed articles and invited speaker at national and international scientific meetings. Reviewer of different scientific journals including Arthritis & Rheumatology, Rheumatology, Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology, Clinical Genomics, Gene, and Medicina Clínica. Member of the Scientific Committee of the congresses of the International Society of Systemic Autoinflammatory Diseases (ISSAID) held in Bethesda (2005) and Rome (2007).

    Juliana Bordignon Draibe

    After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from the FAMEMA University (Brazil) in 2007, I specialized in Nephrology at Bellvitge University Hospital in May 2013. Subsequently, I have obtained a scholarship from the European Society of Nephrology (EDTA) to complete my experimental training in the field of animal models and biomarkers in ANCA-positive Vasculitis with Prof. Alan Salama (London).

    In June 2014, I joined the Nephrology Service of Bellvitge Hospital as an assistant, in the glomerular diseases group. Since then, I have combined my healthcare activity with clinical and experimental research. I currently lead a research group within Nephrology and Renal Transplantation Research group of IDIBELL focused on the pathophysiology and biomarkers of ANCA-positive vasculitis and Acute Interstitial Nephritis.

    I am a Coordinator of the Glomerular Group of the Catalan Society of Nephrology (GLOMCAT) and since 2021, I have been a teacher of the annual Glomerular Pathology course and the ANCA-positive Vasculitis Course, carried out by the Spanish Society of Nephrology (SEN).

    Laura Martínez Martínez

    Laura Martínez Martínez is an immunologist at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona. She is the head of the Autoimmunity section of the Immunology department, which is accredited by the Spanish CSUR network for autoimmune diseases, rare neuromuscular diseases, and complex glomerular diseases and also by the Catalan XUEC network for minority neuromuscular diseases, minority immune diseases: area of systemic autoimmune diseases, minority respiratory diseases, and minority renal diseases.

    She is an associate lecturer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and coordinator of Autoimmunity subject on the Master's degree in Advanced Immunology UB-UAB. She is also a researcher at the Sant Pau Research Institute and has numerous scientific and teaching publications.

    Luis Quintana

    Luis F. Quintana is the Head of the Clinical Nephrology section in the Nephrology and Renal Transplantation Department at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.

    This section is a member of the European Rare Kidney Disease Reference Network and is endorsed by the national health systemas a Reference Center for Complex Glomerular Diseases (CSUR).

    Dr. Quintana is Full Professor of the Department of Medicine at the University of Barcelona. He is also coordinator of the Nephropathology Committee of the Hospital Clinic.

    He has also given more than 100 invited lectures, published 110 scientific articles (h-index: 25). Dr. Quintana has been the director of 2 doctoral theses, and he is currently directing 3 doctoral thesis projects, and he has been a visiting professor at Latin American universities.

    He is currently leading a research project on the use of tissue transcriptomics to map progression to chronic kidney disease in glomerular pathology.

    Marc Corbera Bellalta

    Dr Marc Corbera-Bellalta has a degree in Biology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), in the specialty of Cell Biology and Genetics, and obtained his PhD on 2015 from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona (UB) describing the role of IFN gamma on the arterial wall inflammation in Giant-Cell Arteritis.

    During his research career he published more than 20 original scientific articles (first quartile indexed), two book chapters, one review, and two letters to editor.

    He has been part of dozens of works accepted for oral presentation and more than 40 posters in national and international prestigious congresses.

    In addition, he's currently collaborating or has collaborated with other Spanish and European research centers of excellence in relation to the development of projects of other postdocs.

    He also has been part of projects in collaboration with several important private pharmaceutical companies in the field of research about new therapeutical targets in GCA, and he has been active part of different public and competitive projects during which different collaborations have been established and scientific articles have been published.

    María Isabel Bielsa

    Isabel Bielsa Marsol is a Professor of Dermatology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and currently holds the position of Clinical Head of the Dermatology Department at the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital. Since completing her doctoral thesis in 1991, which focused on cutaneous lesions in lupus erythematosus, her clinical and research activities have been centered around this disease and autoimmune diseases in general.

    This commitment has led to the publication of numerous papers and the authorship of various chapters in books, addressing diverse clinical, microscopic, and immunological aspects of cutaneous lesions in lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, scleroderma and vasculitis, among others. Furthermore, she has actively participated as both a speaker and coordinator in symposia, workshops, and other events at numerous national and international conferences. She is a founder member of the Spanish Group of Dermatology in Autoimmune and Systemic Diseases and served as its coordinator from 2017 to 2020.

    María Molina

    Chair of the ILD Unit at the Respiratory Department of University Hospital of Bellvitge and head of the Research Laboratory of Pulmonology in IDIBELL (Barcelona, Spain). Medical Doctor (1998), Pulmonologist (2003), PhD in Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILDs) (2007) and Associated Professor for ILD at the University of Barcelona (UB)(2011). Scientific director of the Scientific Committee in the Spanish Society of Respiratory (SEPAR) and Scientific Director of the national consortium of respiratory research CIBERES. Chief of the Rare-ILD Group of Assembly 12 ILD of the ERS. Scientific advisor for the EU-IPFF.

    Research contributions in the ILD field, especially in lung fibrosis and rare ILDs: H-index 36, 190 indexed peer-reviewed articles, 52 book-chapters, direction of 9 thesis, contribution in 21 clinical trials, 3 of them as promotor, conducting 8 multicentre research projects, and participating in global Registries and Biobanks (EurIPF Reg., DNA consortium).

    Miquel Blasco

    J. Miquel Blasco (MD, PhD) is a Senior Nephrologist at the Nephrology and Renal Transplant Department (Hospital Clínic, Barcelona University). In this Department, he is part of the team at National unit of expertise for complex glomerular diseases (CSUR) and also in the European Reference Network in minoritarian Kidney Disease (ERKnet).

    Currently Dr Blasco is directing a thesis project - registered at the University of Barcelona - on the role of complement in ANCA-vasculitis. In addition, he has directed as principal investigator (PI) a multicenter study on the evaluation of complement in different TMA and he has currently received a grant from the Spanish Society of Nephrology (SEN) as a PI in the study of the role of complement in ANCA-associated vasculitis and a grant from the Instituto de Salud Carlos III as a PI in the study of complement in ABO incompatible kidney transplant.

    Montserrat Díaz

    Montserrat M. Diaz-Encarnacion is a medical professional specializing in nephrology and serving as professor in the Autonoma de Barcelona university. She earned her degree in medicine and surgery from the central university of the East in Dominican Republic and completed her nephrology specialization at Fundacio Puigvert. With a PhD from Autonoma de Barcelona University she conducted research in Physiology and biomedical engineering as well she served as senior researcher in the department of laboratory medicine and Pathology at Mayo clinic college of medicine in Rochester MN USA .

    Currently, she is the coordinator of the glomerular and autoimmune kidney diseases unit at Fundacio Puigvert, overseeing the Spanish (CSUR) and the European (ERKnet) reference centers. Her primary research interest lies in studying inflammation -related fibrosis in chronic kidney disease.

    Patricia Moya

    Graduated in Medicine from Autonomous University of Barcelona and specialised in Rheumatology at Sant Pau Hospital. Successfully defended her PhD in 2016 with Cum Laude honors, a thesis focused on pharmacogenetics in rheumatic diseases.

    She specialises in providing comprehensive care for systemic autoimmune diseases, coordinating the vasculitis area in the Rheumatology Service and having an integral role in the Functional Unit of Autoimmune Diseases at Hospital Sant Pau, a center that has recently been recognised as a State Reference Center for Autoimmune Diseases (CSUR) and Unit of Clinical Excellence (XUEC).

    In addition to her clinical expertise, she has an active participation in conferences and courses at the national and international level, and serves as an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at Autonomous University of Barcelona.

    Furthermore, she is engaged in research with grants from the Catalan and Spanish Societies of Rheumatology, and she has authored various publications in the field of Vasculitis.

    Sergio Prieto

    Sergio Prieto-González is currently Senior Specialist in the Departments of Autoimmune Diseases, Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona and Investigator at the research institute Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS).

    He is part of a vasculitis care unit and a translational research team investigating pathogenic mechanisms of blood vessel inflammation and remodeling with the ultimate goal of searching for biomarkers of disease activity/prognosis as well as therapeutic targets.

    His interest in vasculitis began 15 years ago when he got his research fellowship investigating the role of imaging in assessing the extent of giant-cell arteritis, prevalence of large vessel involvement and the impact of treatment on imaging vascular abnormalities (first author in pioneer prospective studies). He has generated or collaborated in about 100 publications (originals and reviews) relating to clinical and translational aspects of vasculitis and other autoimmune diseases. H-index is 35 (Web of Science).

    Xavier Solanich

    Consultant in the internal medicine service at the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge since 2012. My care and research work has focused on the study and treatment of immune defects (immunodeficiencies, autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases), as well as some rare diseases such as systemic histiocytosis.

    In the field of systemic autoimmune diseases, I mostly take care of vasculitis, periaortitis / retroperitoneal fibrosis, IgG4-RD, etc I also collaborate with the ophthalmology department in the diagnosis and management of patients with uveitis, immune / ischemic optic neuritis or orbital pseudotumor. Author of more than sixty publications in indexed journals. I have obtained competitive financing from public and private organizations. Principal investigator or collaborator in several clinical trials.

    Arturo Renú

    Arturo Renú is an associate neurologist at the Comprehensive Stroke Center (H. Clinic, Barcelona) and a researcher at the IIS-FRCB-IDIBAPS. The Comprehensive Stroke Center is a national and international reference center on the treatment and research of cerebrovascular diseases.

    Dr. Renú has participated in several European Union-funded research projects (ISCIII and ICI) and in in projects funded by the ISCIII and also co-investigator in and in the RETICS of cerebral vascular diseases of the ISCIII.

    He is the main author or co-author of many publications in indexed international journals in the field of the specialty and has performed work as an external reviewer of research projects. He is also PI of several national and international multicenter clinical trials (RESPECT, CHOICE, CHOICE-2, IN EXTREMIS) whose results have had and/or may have relevant implications in the management of stroke.

    Dr. Renú has been able to generate a multidisciplinary research team with high scientific productivity and extensive experience in the treatment and management of neurocritical patients.

    Adriana Garcia Herrera

    Dr. Garcia-Herrera is a pathologist with subspecialty focus in renal pathology and dermatopathology. In each of these areas she also focuses on inflammatory patterns of reactions, autoimmune conditions and dysproteinemic forms of renal and skin injury.

    Ignasi Rodríguez Pinto

    He graduated in Medicine at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in 2004 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona.

    Later, he obtained a master’s degree in Autoimmune Diseases Systemic in 2011 from the University of Barcelona and the master’s degree in design and statistics in health sciences from the the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in 2015. He continued his training as a fellow in the Department of Systemic Autoimmune Diseases at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona under the direction of Prof. Ricard Cervera between 2011 and 2018.

    In 2018, he obtained his PhD cum laude with international mention from the University of Barcelona in 2018 under the direction of Prof. Shoenfeld and Prof Espinosa. It was awarded with the prize for the best doctoral thesis of the yearby the Societat Catalanobalerar de Medicina Interna.
